Let Them Teach
Let Them Teach is a movement that allows the students to do the teaching. It was an idea that originally stemmed from one student fussing at me that she "just doesn’t learn like this". That was four years ago. The idea grew. It developed beyond that one student and her one subject. Today this process includes second through 12th grade levels and all subjects. Charged with learning in their own multiple intelligences, the students have now created books, art, lessons and videos. They teach the academic standards not only to themselves, but to each other. This year they are taking it further and extending their reach to children in hospitals, and other schools across the nation.
