Have you seen sketchnotes and thought, "That's cool but I'm not an artist; I can't do that"? Then this hands-on session is for you! Sketchnoting is a visual style of notetaking where doodling can be used to increase retention, engagement, and visual literacy. If you want to try it, then this risk-free, hands-on 90 minute workshop will prove you don't need to be an artist to sketchnote. We will use the free iPad app Paper by 53. Participants will learn how to use the basic tools and explore the more advanced options such as sharing and remixing. Participants will begin with essential sketchnote elements including color, text formatting, layout, and easy icons. We will sketchnote a story, nonfiction article, and video. This session will be all about practice, practice, practice and then sharing with each other.
