A Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Editing Go Down...

The writing process can be daunting for most students today who want to write something that meets the requirements of the assignment and turn it in. They barely stop to make sure their name is on the assignment, let alone read what they have written. Students see editing and revising as tasks that take up too much time for very little pay off. After all, if they didn’t notice anything wrong in the first draft, what will they gain by reading it again? Technology can be used to help make the writing process easy and productive. Self-editing and peer editing become helpful and engaging. Students are able to produce better products with fewer errors and really take a good luck at what they are producing. The writing process becomes less of a drudgery and more of an engaging process that can actually be helpful. Technology can also give educators opportunities to give meaningful feedback and support along the way. Students can easily save feedback and drafts for review before other writing projects. These Apps, Chrome extensions, and tools are great for every subject and administration. This workshop is great for anyone who wants or needs to write anything well.
