Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session will focus on integrating coding and robotics to make an active connection between problem-solving, creativity, and literary analysis. This session will be led by a teacher who used Spheros in a high school literature class to teach plot, characterization, and theme. Attendees will be active participants in this hands-on lesson! They will discover how high school students were taught to use the Sphero as a symbolic representation of plot elements and characters to convey a deep understanding of the elements of a literary work. This presentation will feature the presenter discussing how the lesson worked in the high school English classroom while facilitating groups of attendees in their own literary analysis journey by learning to code the Spheros to demonstrate understanding of plot and theme and an analysis of and empathy for the characters.
