Comics and Classrooms - a Great Partnership

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The ability to understand and summarize information is a vital skill in both educational and work settings. Encourage your students to identify key points and summarize them clearly and concisely by using something to which they can easily relate - comics!

See a variety of applications - both online and downloaded - that will allow your students to creatively share information using their own words. By their very nature, comics depend on minimal text to convey information, forcing students to be concise and accurate in a non-threatening environment.

All apps will be free or, at the very least, have a free version that is readily accessible to students and teachers. Pros and cons and suggested applications in a variety of subject areas will be highlighted.
