The Eye in the Sky Never Lies (swivl style)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Nothing is more embarrassing than learning that your teaching style is tunning out students, you keep repeating words, or looking down when speaking. But if you ask for feedback people will likely say, "it was all right." However, is it really? How do you know your teaching style is not terrible? As my high school football coach once said, "the eye in the sky never lies" and would point to the camera filming the game. The eye, in this case, is the swivl camera. I used the swivl camera using an Ipad to track my teaching style during a financial literacy seminar course and professional development course and learned what to do and what not to do. Using the Ipad to record along with the editing was an easy method than having to use complicated editing software.

The presentation will go over what swivl can bring to teaching, how it can be used to promote your teaching style, and the do's and dont's when using swivl.
